I installed a bunch of solar panels on our RV. I am very pleased with how secure they hold and the ease of installation. I clicked 1 star for removal as these would be quite difficult to remove. Once you clean the surface and apply these, they are STUCK. I am sure there is a chemical way to get them off, but no need for me. BTW, 15' is a lot of adhesive.

I use this tape to attach Christmas decorations to my metal-sided home, and it's just fantastic stuff. The caveats are that the mounting surface must be very clean and within the designed application temperature. I've also found that the bond is even stronger if left for 12-24 hours before placing any weight on it. Those who find this product fails are likely not applying it within the manufacturer's guidelines. As one should expect, a tape with this sort of adhesion strength is not and should not be easy to remove. And it's not -- it doesn't want to let go -- but with steady persistence, it will release. Fantastic stuff!

Used this to stick solar panel mounts to RV. Worked great and withstood much stress before releasing. Be careful that the first time it touches something that the position is where you want it because it is a bear to pull off again.

As the butyl seal and lap caulk on my RV roof appliances ages, I am removing them and replacing using the 1" wide double sided version of Scotch 4950 VHB Tape between the appliance lip and the aluminum roof. Then I lap seal with the 2" wide single sided version of the same tape making sure to remove the paper before overlapping the ends. Position it right the first time because there is no second chance. I've had a sunroof sealed as described for two years now with no leaks and no signs of aging. I'm concerned that the tape will outlast the appliances and it will be a chore to remove.

Used this tape along with 1/4" stainless steel sheet metal screws to attach aluminum solar panel to aluminum skin/frame pickup camper roof, as recommended by camper manufacturer and other owners. Prepped aluminum mounting bars with acetone, painted roof skin with isopropyl alcohol. Put tape on mounting bars first, positioned solar panel about 1/4" above roof on wood blocks using pencil marks for exact location reference, pulled VHB release tape, then lowered panel carefully onto roof (2-person job). Had a little trouble getting tape on ends of mounting bars to stick at first due to slight irregularities in level of skin, but got it to stick by pushing up on ceiling inside camper while someone else pushed down on panel from above. All this is mostly to say that this tape is a pretty amazing product, but it requires a lot of care to install it correctly, so plan your installation carefully.

We used this to hold our large plastic sign on our food trailer and it has held on great for the last two months of winter, worth every dime.
