This is not sticky like the other comments have said but I thought I would try it myself. I even tried a hot hairdryer on it to get it stickier, no luck. It does look nice once it's on but I don't think it will last long.

I used this tape to wrap sections of my Gravel bike frame and it worked really well. Would recommend to anyone looking to protect the paint on anything, really. It goes on clear, has a slight gloss shine to it and is hard to notice unless you are on top of the bike inspecting it. I was talking with a friend about frame protection and they asked if it was installed on the bike I was riding (it was). Highly recommend!

Used it to make motorcycle tank protection pads where my knees touch the tank. The film is easy to cut to shape using an Exacto knife and application is extremely easy as long as you’ve done this before and use the correct spray solution (alcohol, distilled water). Highly recommended!

Their own stuff, not 3M as listed. Scratches when installed, even with the felt tip. Instructions are minimal.

I use it under a magnetic antenna mount for my ham radio.I cut out a round piece that’s slightly larger than the antenna magnetic mount, and stuck it to the roof of my car.(No, not applied to the antenna. I want to shield the car paint from dirt getting trapped between the antenna’s magnetic mount and the car paint; putting this on the antenna mount would still allow dirt that’s between the paint and the antenna to make contact with the paint…)The antenna holds great on it, and still works well RF-wise.Not visible unless one walks up closely. Check out the photo: As you can see, it’s hard to see.

Like somebody said one side of the tape looks like it was cut with a dull knife. But I ordered a six inch piece knowing I was using a 4 inch section. Received the 60 inches I ordered, went on smooth enough, make sure you watch a YouTube video on how to do it or you will cause yourself some grief. Will see how durable it is on the sill plate of the car.

I have ordered this 3M product several times in the past for protecting my mountain bikes. It is very good value compared to custom ride wrap solutions, however, you need to have some experience with these kinds of do it yourself wrapping applications or the result might be less than you might have been hoping for. The wrap goes on relatively easily but it is hard to avoid some minor air bubbles (unless you are an expert) which is more of a cosmetic issue rather than a protection issue. If you are hard on your bike the wrap can also begin peel at the edges which eventually leads to you having to replace the wrap. Because this solution is good value, I try to have extra around for when I need to replace sections that need to be replaced.

As per title I cannot give a comprehensive review as I have only used the tape for a short time hence the four stars. Used the tape as crank protectors to reduce scuffing and scratching on the outside face of my MTB cranks. Shimano cranks so aluminum construction. Adhesion was great out of the package on new cranks. Somewhat thin material so will see how it holds up. Pretty good amount of tape on the roll so if I need to replace the tape due to early wear then not a deal breaker. The product is much cheaper to buy in this way than as a specific cut to fit crank protector. Also used this on my carbon MTB frame where the RideWrap had worn away. If the product generally wears poorly I will edit this review.
