Having worked for some years in the chemical industry, I know my way around respirators and the cartridges they can be fitted with. These are fantastic dust filters, with a lot more surface area than you get with any disposable dust mask. This means you get more airflow without sacrificing protection, which means they are more comfortable to use, which means you can use them longer without feeling the need to tear them off your face. Please note that these are particle filters, not chemical filters. They will protect you from inhaling dust, pollen, viruses, etc.; they will NOT protect you from gases or vapors. They only work when attached to respirators, please check that you buy an appropriate respirator. Highly recommended.

The filters work as expected. I use them when I ride my bike in areas of the city that can often have dense traffic.

used it for welding gasless flux core wire and it worked didnt have to smell the fumes eventhough i was welding out in the open with a fan. without the mask i could only weld for 5-10 min at a time with the mask i kept working till i decided to take a break and no lightheadedness from smoke. also used it for fiberglass insulation and worked again. great price, great quality, 3m standard.

Good environmental filters for dust, smoke and pollen. They are fairly light weight and easy to replace.

I do Construction & these have been almost impossible to get with the whole covid thing going on & but luckily these were available to me. It's a shame that people in Construction are having a hard time getting the PPE we need too! We deal with chemicals, dust, and all matter of things you dont ever want to inhale.These are definitely genuine 3M filter that came in a bag sealed by the manufacturer. Very happy with my purchase! I work construction and this was my first time using one of these filters. I purchased it along with a respirator because my current job has really poor air quality.The difference was unquestionable. I could no long smell offensive smells and it became much easier to breath in the very dusty environment. It recommend wearing for 30hours or for 30 days after opening. I wore it for about two weeks, storing it in a ziplock bag after each wear. As I exceeded 30hours of use it started to became harder to breathe with it on and I could smell light odors. It was clear that it was time to replace it. I bought 3m 2071 because it came with 3 and was better value. Will see if it’s as good as this one. If not I will purchase this even though it is a bit more. Hopefully we will see lower prices soon with Covid cure.In pictures I cut it open to really see how much it trapped. I assume it was white before use and as you can see the layers are coated with particulates.Very satisfied with product effectiveness.
