My grandson plays on his school’s baseball and track teams.So, I let him try this out. It took a little bit of fine-tuning the adjustments to get just the right tightness so he could still show off his speed to first after hitting the ball.He’s by far the fastest player on the team and I think he only had to give up a tenth of a second wearing these.But, the trade-off, protection for a fraction of lost speed is worth it. I believe this happens with anything like this you wear.These are well made and offer great protection.Designed with several pivot points that allow ankle & footwork to not be hindered much at all.This is a recommend if you play!

9 year's old first year playing baseball wth a pitcher after playing Tball. He would almost cry going up to bat because he didn't want to get hit after getting some bad pitchers throwing at him. Got this to help him get over that fear with some protection. Nice shin protector for batting/foul balls. This is a pic of it on my 9 year old. It’s a little heavy, so he’s adjusting to running in it, but it’s something he’ll be able to grow into.

Fits my 14-year-old just fine, he's 5'7" sneakers are size 9 so you can have an idea, the white one is my 16-year-olds and he's 5'10'', size 9 1/2.The material that receives the impact itself seems just fine (like on any other leg guard from other brands), but the padding on the inside does seem a bit thin, son says it's no problem but i guess we'll have to wait and see if that true after a ball impact on it, the smaller piece laying on top of the toe area can be taken off and on, its hook and loop.the piece that hangs down to protect the ankle could be longer making it much better protection wise on the ankle, other brand name leg guards out there for almost half the price do feel more padded, and the ankle guard part does hang lower covering more of the ankle.

Ideal for players 5'4" and up IMO. my younger son wasn't able to use it, as he was too short to benefit from it. It is a good quality product and is comfortable to wear. I know my son feels safer wearing this after being hit by a foul ball last season. He has more confidence at at plate now, thanks to this leg guard, which is key for any batter. Easy to use, and a fair price. Recommend!

The 3N2 Pro Clutch Leg Guard offers practical protection for players, designed by those who understand the game. I don't know how the clip-on design of the straps compares to other brands, but it seems easy to remove, not sure if it will survive fast running if it isn't completely tightened during play. My son was very exited to receive the 3N2 Batters Pro Clutch Leg Guard. He plays little league, and is just getting to the point where the pitchers are throwing hard. He hit his foot on a foul ball a couple of times in previous seasons, so he was really glad to get this guard.
