These eggshell openers work great! I hard boil a lot of eggs and was always dealing with little boys of eggshell as I peeled them. Plus sometimes the membrane is stuck to the egg making peeling them even more problematic. I couldn't believe how well these work. Just put the egg in, close it up, and push in the 2 metal points. It cracks the shell and after removing the egg, the shell comes off easily and in 2 pieces. Great design. If you bake, you can use it for separating the yolks from the whites. Easy yocwash with hot soapy water. Every kitchen should have one.

I absolutely love this gadget. Constructed of hard plastic with 2 metal blades that crack the shell when you close and press them in. Works perfectly every time! Very easy to use and clean. I rinse them out first and then delicately hand wash them in warm, soapy water (watch for the blades, they are sharp).Great value for 3 eggshell openers at $8.11 (the price at the time of this review).
