It doesn't clamp at all. The metal is a weaker metal. Tried to tighten down. 2 3/4 inch stainless together. It just rolls around in the clamps

Look and feel good, but once you really gotta take something off or tighten something these bend and you'll eventually pinch your fingers

I like the quality of this tool, it grips really well and unlike a lot of other channel locks it locks in place and stays there. Has a button for when you want to widen the jaws. Definitely recommend.
