When I saw the NOMFIX Emergency Candle Lantern with the heating top to warm food and coffee, I couldn't move fast enough to get it. I am so happy that I did. This little lantern is as cute as it is essential to have for power outages. The copper and black two-toned finish gives it an antique attractive appearance. It is made of sturdy metal and is a durable little lamp. I love that it has a handle, so it is easy to carry. The enclosed design ensures the candles will stay lit even outside with a breeze. As well the enclosed design ensures safety which is definitely a concern for me especially because I have cats.I have rechargeable lights that I can recharge on my car battery with an adapter. I love that I will have this option as well that won't require a source of power to have light and the warming plate on top.In the last year, we have been without power on two different occasions for almost a week each time. The last time it happened it was during an artic blast. It was below freezing outside. It was just too cold to stay out long enough to heat soup on the grill outside. I truly appreciate that I can now stay inside out of the elements to heat food. Likewise, though I made a pot of coffee on the grill in the mornings, it didn't stay warm long in the house when we were also without heat. I will truly appreciate this lantern will warm coffee in the event we have another power outage. The lantern comes with 3 candles. The NOMFIX Store on Amazon offers the candles in sets of 3, 10 or 20. I will be ordering more to be sure to have plenty on hand for emergencies.I love this NOMFIX Emergency Candle Lantern with the heating top. It is a must have for emergencies and I highly recommend it.

Review of: NOMFIX 3-Wick Emergency Candle Lantern for Power Outages [18H+ Burning Time], ASIN: B0DTHC6ZQQ.I love candle lanterns, and they've been a choice of mine for camping and backpacking for years. A real flame gives an ambiance that bright LED flashlights just don't. The flicker of the flame makes things magical. And they can put quite a bit of heat, too, more than you might think!(I'm also a huge flashlight nerd, so go figure...) :-)When this candle lantern came available, I was excited. And this is a quality product! Just like the single-flame candle lanterns that you can thrown into your backpack or camping gear, this one has places for 3 spring-loaded candles. Each relatively small candle (it only comes with 3 of them, already installed) really can last for many many hours, unlike almost any other candle on the market. The glass shade keeps wind out, and the metal top gets almost red-hot and collects heat from the flames, so you can hang this from your tent, and still not burn it. On the top of this lantern, they've clearly marked the top to remind you that this thing will get VERY hot. The parts, including the twist-turn bottm, fit well together, and everything is exactly like you expect it to me. This is a nice, but still light-weight product. Unlike the original, single-candle UCO candle lanterns, this does NOT collapse or shrink for storage, nor collapse to protect the glass shade, so it is the same size at all times, only getting larger if you lift the handle, I suppose. You'll want to keep the original box to try to protect it, as there is no case.Beware the price of replacement candles. They're not horribly expensive, but up to a couple bucks a piece, depending on how many you buy.

Back in the day, I had one of the single candle versions of this. Probably the other brand, since it was eons ago. Broke the glass at some point and there was much sadness. I've never been happy with using flashlights and led lanterns for camping. I really want the softer lower light of a candle lantern. But, this was long before the day of Amazon, so it never occurred to me to get new glass for it. Life goes on.Then, this popped up on a search. I was super happy to see it. It's 3 candles, instead of just one. I'm OK with that. Gives me some added versatility. I can light 1, 2, or all 3, depending on my needs. My backpacking days are behind me, so the larger size and heavier weight isn't an issue. I'm intrigued at the idea of keeping something warm on the top, which obviously wasn't possible on the smaller one.Construction quality on this one doesn't seem quite up to par with what I recall of my old one, but that isn't to suggest that there's any shortcomings. It just feels slightly rougher around the edges than I remember my old one being. Same sort of spring action to keep the candles moving up; same overall design. Feels very solid.Haven't put it to the test on a camping trip yet, but I'll certainly update my review if use in the field brings anything to light (as it were) that wasn't obvious from my prior experience with this type of candle lantern.
