I bought this piece of metal along with a second gate latch. My mom's dog is a black haired chihuahua and keeps getting out the bottom of the gate and runs the neighborhood. I tried everything I could think of to block it but he outsmarted me every time. This time, I got another gate latch for my chain link fence gate. I put the second one at the bottom of the gate and drilled some holes in the latch and piece of metal. I raise both latches at the same time with the piece of metal and he is very unhappy with me because he can no longer escape. To bad. I outsmarted him this time.

Piece is as advertised. Unfortunately due to poor packaging the piece was bent in several places during shipping.
