Nice quality, easy to read and the threads are well cut.

I do work on a lot of antique tools and I see a wide variety of bolts, pins, and screws that I need to note the sizes of, so this has been a very handy tool to have on my work bench. I had a smaller one, but it didn't have nearly the coverage of sizes or a gage checker that this one does. It's kind of big, but that's necessary for how many slots it has.

I got this thread checker from ApexCraft. My son does small engine repair and I thought this would be handy to have around. It's sturdy metal so it will be sure to last. It has rubber feet for use on a desk but also a hold for wall-mounting. There are inch and millimeter scales on the sides for measuring screw/bolt lengths. It covers the metric/imperial sizes shown in the listing to check bold and nut sizes and make sure threads aren't damaged. It looks professional and is machined well. It seems to me that it could have been designed to be slightly more compact, however. My son and I are quite pleased with this. It will be useful to have.

I'm so spoiled now. I love these in hardware stores. Now I have one at home and I use it all the time. This is built even better than the ones at my local hardware stores!

This is an excellent tools for determining the sizes of your nuts and bolts. It's nice to be able to go to the hardware store knowing what size nut you need for an existing bolt or what size bolt you need for an existing nut. Most stores have one of these but this way you don't have to bring your old ones with you. The item is made of thick metal and the markings are easy to read. It has a hole near the top which can be used to hang the item on the wall. There are four rubber feet on the back which makes it easier to use on slightly unlevel surfaces (like a workbench top made from multiple boards). All in all, a well made item.

Ok, seriously, who would pay $36 for a bolt/nut thread checker and drill gauge checker?Well, I'm as cheap as they come but something caught my eye about this and I got it. Seriously, I'm a tool snob and this is one of the nicest things in my shop. It's nicely machined and covers more than the normal range of thread sizes (all the way up to your full size, 3/4 and 1 ton truck lug nut sizes), powder coated with a nice fine crinkle finish and they even added a tapered hole to hang it off of and rubber feet to keep it off the surface it's against so you have room to thread bolts into the holes.I'm considering getting a second one (my shop is split into the main shop and the basement where bolts and things get stored). Really, this thing is that good.

This is the answer to the prayers of any handyman who collects assorted nuts and bolts over the years. Having it nearby allows you to instantly know what size and thread you've grabbed, or what to buy if you need to replace one. I've often seen these in hardware stores and wished somebody would make one for the home shop. Now they have!If it just had a wood screw reference, it would be perfect.

Just recently, I needed to identify what type of screw I had so I could order some that are much longer. I did not have anything at home as a reference, so I had to drive up to the hardware store and use almost this exact same gauge to get the correct size. This gauge is what they have at your big home improvement stores. The 4in1 by Apexcraft is almost perfect. To make this perfect, I would have had something magnetic to allow this to be stored on the side of my toolbox. This is a solid thread-referencing gauge that will last a lifetime. It has both standard and metric threads. It has four rubber feet on the bottom and a cutout to hand from a peg or nail in the wall. It's easy to read.Overall, you get what you pay for, and if you want the best, buy this; it's well worth it.
