I'm a retired electronics technician. Over the past 40 years, I have built a combination woodshop/ machine shop in the basement. I'm constantly tearing things apart and putting things back together. These diamond saw blades at less than $3.50 each, are a great addition to my saw blade drawer. I tried cutting through 1.8 inch mild steel with one, and it worked flawlessly. I've used these kinds of blades in the past, and they DO eventually stop cutting as well as when new. I haven't used these enough to see how long they last, but at this price, even if they didn't last as long as a big name brand, I'm still ahead dollar wise. They come with a brass insert that allows it to fit 5/8 inch arbors. However that easily pops out with a punch to allow it to fit the more common 7/8 inch arbor found on most small grinders. I little trick to easily remove that brass insert is to use a 9/16th 3/8 socket and a small hammer. Five stars!
