Better than gutter guards, which make the gutters hard to clean out. These keep debris out of the downspout, but you do have to scoop out the gutters every now and then.

I have a wooded area in my backyard, just cleaned the gutter and found the drain clogged with leaves and stuff. This item fits well and just had heavy rain after installation. went up and looked it works.

The product is in my downspout and doing its job. However, without performing metallurgical tests, it sure appears to be made of plastic, NOT aluminum. False advertising?

Pack of 4 was a good bargain. These are very thin aluminum but they should last several seasons. Easy to install and trim.

These fit most downspouts and stop most debris from going down and plugging the pipe. But, they will collect debris and need cleaning; but better than plugging the downspout.
