I chose this 4-pack of AMGSH anti-vibration isolator pads for use on a homemade bench grinder built out of an unused electric motor. Bolted directly to my workbench, this grinder/wire wheel setup shook the bench terribly, to the point where I would have spare parts and components rattling all over the place and getting lost as they rattled off of the bench, onto the floor and gone forever in the nooks and crannies of my garage. These isolators didn't completely solve the vibration transferred into the bench but they certainly helped a fair amount. These isolators are larger than I suspected (although the dimensions are clearly stated in the product specs section of the listing). The rubber on them is quite stiff so they're well-suited to holding up fairly heavy components like compressors, HVAC air conditioners/heat pumps/mini-splits, electric motors and other bench-top shop equipment. They certainly aren't soft, the material is pretty much on-par with the stiffness of a hockey puck. For lighter uses, like my bench grinder, they're probably a bit overkill in terms of stiffness but they do the job. I expect you to be able to put the full 800 lb weight that they are rated for.My only concern with these isolators are the nature of the protruding bolt. The floor mounts are simply holes that you drive your own screws/bolts through (not supplied) but the studs on these are not accessible from the underside of the mounts. This means that if you strip the threads on the stud or break them in any way, you won't be able to replace the stud as they're set into the stiff rubber. I'd have been a little more comfortable if these studs were replaceable but if you're careful with them, you should be just fine. For the price, the multitude of uses, and the heavy-duty nature of these isolators, they're a great bargain that should go a long way to reducing noise and vibration in your application.

I am using these on a homemade flight simulator rig to isolate the vibration (provided by bass shakers) to the seat, rather than transmitting it through the platform and floor. This reduces unwanted vibration outside of the rig while allowing the feeling to be concentrated to the seat. This is a far less expensive option than using professional seismic isolators. I am happy with the results!

This is a good kit, with only one fault, the rubber is too stiff. This is a great mount replacement for my heatpump... well not so much a replacement as it is just changing location of install a bit, from the wall to a concrete mount. This can be installed on its' own or you can pop out the inserts for two bolt holes per footing and mount it more permanently. The only reason I said the rubber was too stiff is because it doesn't really help with the vibrations as much as it could. Still happy I got these though.
