HOW TO USE
Place the beams and posts into the brackets, drill the pre-drilled holes and lock the screws to complete the installation. (Due to the different sizes and dryness of the wood, the wood will need to be sanded and trimmed to match the internal dimensions of the bracket.)

Material and finish seem good and robust for exposure as expected up under a roof or protected by an overhang.I'm going to be making a pole supported, open sided wood splitting and wood storage roof these will simplify tying the various structural wood members (including ash and black locust poles from my land) together and hopefully add strength as well.

These post cap tie rod caps are perfect for heavy decking with a roof. Instead of getting side plates, I cam across this design, which locks the 4x4 beams into place, preventing any kind of movement of shifting. These also made the job a lot easier working alone, by allowing me to secure one beam into place at a time. They fit nice and snug to both 4x4s. They also look very sharp with a dark coating that will also help prevent wear and rusting!

These brackets are great for smaller projects like small sheds, lean to roofs, pergolas etc. Real easy to use/install. Powder coating looks good and it should protect the steel from the elements for many years as long as you don't scratch it which did not happen during normal handling. I would recommend using washers on screws to keep your tools and the heads of screws from scratching around the fastener.

We built a small shed roof to cover the engine/head for our little sawmill to protect it from the elements. These brackets were just right for the project. They're powder coated, so they look great and are protected from corrosion. They fit standard 4x4's just right. They come with screws for installation, but they were a little lighter duty than we wanted and we ended up using some heavier torx screws that we had on hand. The welds on the brackets are decent and the brackets are plenty sturdy enough for our project. They were just the right thing and we'll get more for the next similar project.

These brackets are well-made. I didn't find any defects or sharp edges. The black finish is well done. When I get to my project for which these brackets are intended, I don't foresee any issues in their installation or performance.

I have been looking for the hardware to build a nice sized arbor for a while. This is the exact set of brackets I wanted. The arbor is primarily constructed with pressure treated 4x4s and this bracket is the style that matches the other structures on the property. Construction (fit/finish) of the brackets is nice.

These tie connectors are well built and look great for exposed timber work, such as a gazebo or patio roof. They are welded where needed and have a great flat black powder coat finish. My pictures show them with a 4x4 post and they fit perfectly. Matching black hardware is also include with the set to make installation easy.These would be overkill under a covered deck as there are lower cost options, but for exposed work these are an excellent choice a price point that's hard to beat.I will be using these tie connectors in the Spring (it's January) to rebuild my covered patio roof. These will provide excellent support and add a touch of class to my new patio roof.
