100N/22LB: 100 newtons is = to 22.5 pounds of force. You could use one to hold open a good size kitchen cabinet or a large toy box door. I use these in my workshop to hold open lids on power tool cabinets so I can make adjustments. Knowing if you need one or two is a guessing game as I'm not a scientist. I will tell you that the further back toward the hinge you install them the more forces is required to open the door.I had a fairly big 36 inch by 24 inch tabletop with two router motors mounted in the table. I took a guess and got a pair of 300 Newton 65LB strut with a 15 inch throw. Now I had no idea if it was going to work but I intended on using two but only needed one. I also did not need the table to open up 90 degrees I just needed it to open enough so it would stay put while I adjusted the router height of an old 3HP porter cable. It ended up working out perfectly.Written right on the bag of this product are three scenarios to open a kitchen cabinet door. One example shows mounting the strut 90 millimeters from the edge will open the door 90 degrees. The screws that are supplied may work but to me they appear rather small.I recommend two things. Watch a number of videos to see how they are installed and all the possibilities And get more than you need because they can fail for any reason. And it's easier to just replace it than to try and fix it.Cheers

I used these to hold up cabinet doors in my camper. They work as intended. Good quality.

Just the right size for our small kitchen cupboards to replace the old cantilever supports they came with.Easy to fit and now the doors rise and stay up on their own!
