When I ordered these I didn't realize that one end isn't cut open on the top so this ends up being a permanent rod installation.It's either that or you have a rod that can slip out because it's got to be exactly the right length to slip into one side and then slide over into the other.They're also super thin metal. That being said, I think they're plenty sturdy enough for even a full clothing rod.I opted to use these in a new closet buildout because I don't feel like these holders are actually stainless steel. They feel too cheap and easy to scratch.

These must be slightly smaller than 1" since my 1" rod did not fit in it. Won't work. Will return.
