This is the 2nd. time I've purchased these Bags. First time was for my HUGE Lemon Tree's that set on my Deck that can't take temps below 45* and we always have a cold spell hit of 40* at night then goes back up in a week, these are AWESOME for putting over my plants for those couple of weeks before I have to bring them inside for the Winter. NOW, I purchased MORE because I'm doing major Spring Cleaning and after I take everything out of my Antique China Closet I'm going to cover it with one of these while I finish so I don't get dust right back in. I haven't done it yet but I KNOW it's going to work PERFECTLY. They aren't super heavy duty but will last for my tree's a couple of seasons and I'll absolutely purchase again because it takes much less time than covering with sheets and blankets every night when my plants need to be covered, these only take a few minutes at most vs 1/2 hour every night with sheets/blankets!!

I got these because I want to put them on my young peach and cherry trees when they get blossoms, as the last couple of years, we had a late freeze, and I lost all my fruit. I had decided to try to wrap clear plastic around them in the spring, because I did not know there were covers already made for that. These are a good weight, and really large like I need. I am really happy that I don't have to somehow figure out how to use sheet plastic.

I'm so glad these plastic covers arrived on the day that we were expecting our first cold front of the year and freezing nighttime temperatures. These covers arrived in the morning while the temperatures were still in the 60s-70s. I had enough time to put them over my nonwoven plant bags that were covering my tomato plants. I am determined to save my tomato plants (at least the young and healthy-looking ones) this year as they usually take too long to get big enough to flower and fruit. It also does not take long before the pests and the hot, humid summer destroy the plants. I have no space to start seeds indoor and have no greenhouse to protect my plants. I am counting on these plastic covers and the nonwoven covers to help my plants through the winter. I will need to order these plastic covers in a larger size to protect my papaya plants as well. These plastic covers are lightweight but they seem durable. Even if they only last one winter, they are still affordable because you are getting multiple covers in very large sizes. They are easy to use because the plastic is flexible, not the thick and stiff material that easily cracks after a while. The drawstring was easy to use as well. Overall, I am happy with these plastic covers and will only change my rating if they do not last through this winter.

With the forecast predicting literally one week of freezing temps and even snow here in Florida, I had to get something thicker and more reliable to cover my box planters in front of my house, rather than the thin fabric that I had been using for temps that stayed right around the 40s. I didn't have exact measurements, but wanted something that could pretty much completely encase the planter like putting it in a sack, more or less. These did not disappoint!✅ BIGGER THAN EXPECTED: when i got these home, i had acknowledged the stated measurements that were written on the product page, but you can never fully grasp the actual size of something until you get it in front of you. these ended up being almost double the size of the plants and pots that i intended to cover. these are really huge and are more tall than they are long. the drawstring runs all the way around the bottom of the bags and that is what makes a difference.✅ DOUBLE THEM UP: when i first got these i have to be honest, i was somewhat skeptical because i figured, what's the difference between these things and using just a 55 gallon, trash bag with draw strings? i could have just used that trash bag. however, these bags are a much thicker density than any trash bag that ive ever used, and since the pack comes with four, i actually doubled up two of these covers together, making it thicker and used it to cover my large alocasia (elephant ear taro) plant. these were big enough that i was able to cover the entire plant itself and got more than halfway down the planter. i then pulled both drawstrings as tight as I could, effectively sealing both bags around the base of the planter, sealing the plant inside.✅ GREENHOUSE EFFECT: because these are clear and aren't like material or fabric that is breathable and woven, these are completely sealed and closed off, especially with the drawstring being utilized. so this creates a mini green house effect for the plants inside. i noticed this after coming out the next morning and the sun was out. despite the temperatures being absolutely freezing, there was condensation all inside the bags, dripping down the inside like "sweating". this is exactly what greenhouses do, creating humidity inside so the tropical plant can thrive. i love that these can create that effect and it actually assists in the plant growth, even during the winter.◼ OVERALL RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE STARS ————————————————♡》》》 IN SUMMARY: it's completely understandable that you may be assuming that these are nothing more than clear trash bags with drawstrings, and that you can do something like this yourself by using oversized trash bags and covering your plants, but i can guarantee that you won't get this same effect or protection for your plants. these are much thicker plastic bags, and the draw strings are actual cloth material with a locking mechanism that keeps them drawn shut firmly. if you're still unsure, you can double up the bags putting one inside of the other and then covering your plant, or even use a cloth cover inside of these bags, but once they are sealed around the plant or planter, that's it. the greenhouse effect is real and is so beneficial for the plants, as well. these made me a believer, and i was totally skeptical as well about the effectiveness of a "clear plastic bag", but these have proven me wrong. i definitely recommend these, regardless, especially if you are able to fully wrap it around the plant and planter and completely seal the bag. the atmosphere inside has humidity, especially if the sun comes out, and keeps the plant thriving and protected. i will definitely be using these into the future, even though it only gets this cold for a literal week, here in florida. ♡

These are easy to use and great for covering plants. I used them for a makeshift terrariums for rooting new plants. They worked perfect were easy to open and close, and held in the moisture. I would recommend.

Set of 4 plastic drawstring bags. These bags work as expected. They are sturdy enough to pull over potted plants without tearing. I have one over a lemon tree to protect it from our first freeze in North Texas. It went down to about 26 degrees Fahrenheit on my covered patio and the lemon tree is ok. The bag did get some condensation in it as temps heated up, but I opened the drawstring to allow some air flow.Decent product. I am not sure how it would hold up in much colder climates.

I really liked the fact that it had a drawstring to hold it together so that it wouldn’t blow away. The last covers I had kept blowing away because there was no way to anchor them. The problem with these is that it keeps an incredible amount of moisture in the bag and one of my plants didn’t make it through the first freeze. I have already had to replace one plant and was hoping to keep these through the freeze, but it appears I might be replacing another one in the near future.

Adequate thickness so as not to tear easily. Great size for short trees and shrubs.
