The app is not listed in any authorized store. And it ask for all the permission which is strange. And also the app got stuck, the registration of the account is also weird and I did not got any email confirmation. The device looks ok and heavy duty.

I found this charge controller very easy to install, program and thus far has functioned perfectly. One key feature it offers is remote monitoring & control through the included WiFi cloud adapter. I requested technical support about configuring WiFi via e-mail and received a fast response that resolved my connection issue. This charge controller offers many features and value for its price.

Probably a good controller but poor documentation on wifi adapter and nonexistent tech service. Finally received a reply after several Days and having resolved the issue myself. Need better documentation and customer service response time. Appears that the controller and APP are both working now.

I compare the performance of this CSOAR 30A 12V/24V MPPT Solar Charge Controller to the REDODO 40A SCC, it seems to perform as well as REDODO.It is very easy to install and use the app via WiFi to setup the parameters to match my DIY 12.8V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery. It is a very small unit for 30A charging rating, I expect it to be a little larger. The heatsink does get a little warm at 20A (I get about 300W from 4-100W panel, about 75% which is typical) of charging current.Notes:The PV 'Power' display that is shown on the App is actually the power to the battery, not the PV power input to the SCC.As you can see in the screenshot, the Power is shown as '286W' but the PV Voltage x PV current = 34.7V x 8.6A = 298W, and if you look at the battery Voltage x Current = 13.4V x 21.2A = 284W.The SCC charging efficiency is 284W/298W = 95.30%.The LCD display does not have backlights so they provide the USB LED light for you to use.I will do follow-up in about 6 months to see how well it holds up against the REDODO SCC.

We got this when we were getting our second solar panel because the controller the first one came with had no information at all. This one tells us the temperature of the batteries, the charge of the batteries, how much the solar panels are charging, and how much the batteries are being used. It's very helpful.

So far it’s been great. I have it hooked up to a 30w panel on my sailboat and it keeps the battery fully charged. We’ll see how it holds up to the salt air but six months in I can’t see any issues.
