  • First, connect the male and female plugs together, then turn and lock them clockwise to easily remove the housing by following the arrows in the diagram.(the installation diagram can be found in the instruction manual and product detail images.)

It’s a shame that I couldn’t give it 5 star…..it’s really well built but you actually have to drill a hole bigger that 1 1/8” diameter to fit the female side in…..there are 2 screws that don’t go in flush when you tighten them unlike the OEM version of Scotty, so basically you have to take the screws out, put in the connector thru the fiberglass or aluminum hole of the boat then push in the 2 wires then try and screw in the screw blind which is really hard to do if you put in a place that doesn’t have much access on the back…..or you have to make a bigger hole or exact size hole and file down to push in the female receptacle end…..look at pic and you’ll see what I’m talking about…

These are well built and great for downrigger plugs. I bought it to convert my reel plug to a regular socket type plug for using a battery if needed, especially when spooling line. Goid quality.

Installed on minn kota trolling motor and works perfectly. Five minute install, very simple. Locks tight and is very sturdy plug.

this is a good 2 wire plug. The clamp for holding wire inside could be sturdier but a good overall product

Works great as a trolling motor disconnect, but also useful anywhere a low voltage, high current waterproof connector is needed. The screw terminals are solid, and the connector has a twist lock to prevent unwanted disconnections. It does a good job of keeping the water out. Good connector, recommended.
