Galaxy X4 40mm 12-Blade 3S/4S EDF System with 1413-KV5000 Outrunner Brushless Motor
Galaxy EDF power systems were originally designed by Xfly-model team based on strong theory and repeated practice. From market demand, product design, simulation, product optimization to mass production, the whole process requires professional knowledge of hydrodynamics and structural mechanics for making the EDF units excellent in overall efficiency and sound effect.
Xfly-model team uses advanced molding design, strict tolerance match and mechanical processing with high precision to eliminate vibration source and finish the product assembly. Not much manual modification is required to reach dynamic balance and speedy running.
Xfly-model team ensures product optimization for EDF power system will be continued and we will strive for improvement on both thrust and sound effect with no limits.
STRUCTURE
Through advanced processing, EDF and blade surface give you a sense of matt finish.
THRUST
The thrust of inrunne 1413-KV5000 motor with high efficiency, combined with optimized design of EDF and blades, can reach 500g when being powered by 4S Lipo battery.
DESIGN
Streamlined design combined with CFD simulation analysis can effectively reduce noise and make sound effect more lifelike during high-speed operation.
MATERIAL
Xfly-model EDFs use composite materials with high strength and tenacity. No extra reinforcement needed. No resonance caused easily.
Special design on the radius and curvity for EDF front edge ensures sufficient air intake.
Good coordination of blades and flow deflector allows speedy spiral airflow to discharge smoothly and keep the airflow dynamic energy loss to the minimum.
The combination of high-precision mould manufacturing and advanced injection-molded technique ensures the consistency of fan blades and makes it easier to reach dynamic balance. 0.4mm distance between blades and housing is kept to ensure the excellent performance.

The hot 40mm EDF to get now. Measured specs are a bit optimistic. Actual weight is 42.1gr vs 40.0gr claimed.Max static thrust I can coax out of it @12.5VDC is 340gr vs claimed 360gr. Still far more efficient than the Dr. MadThrust 40mm EDF, and nicer sound.Can't wait to try it in the air.

Honestly would have been happy with the way it performed on 3s but holy how this thing genuinely impressive on 4s.

40mm seams like a good ratio of compact size and still enough blade area to move a lot of air. I'm not using it for an airplane I just got sick of all the wimpy overpriced personal fans out there and made my own. ESC are so cheap these days and you just need a $2 servo tester then make a switch by making a break in the power wire and something bendy like a broken prop blade. This can blow the sweat right off your skin and inflate your clothes in the most refreshing way lol. Anyways great little unit.

Hobbies great edf lots of power in a small package will fly a 64mm jet like the freewing panther or F-86 on 3-4 s packs very efficiently w/power to spare speeds of 70-80mph great for small fields
