I bought these to be spares. In case we need one while out riding in the desert. The desert is not where anybody wants to break down. I installed one on the handlebars (throttle cables) of each of our quads. We sometimes ride fifty-mile rides from the desert to the forest. If needed it will be money well spent.

These master links fit my 428 chain but are a little wider. The add lists it as 22mm wide. I used my micrometer and measured it at 22.6mm wide. I did this after placing it up against my existing master link and noticing the difference in width. My original master link measured 20.6mm wide. It did fit, but the Orings were a little looser against the adjacent links. It was also much easier to get the clip on than my original link since there was extra room. This may affect the Orings keeping dirt out. I’m only using these as spares and back up. These will get me up and running if need be.
