In the position that should be off where the key can be removed, it’s actually on. Vice version on off, where the key can’t be removed. I tried the wiring backwards, but the switch is internal and it’s backwards.

This is only an on/off switch so there is no spring return for a starting function. This switch works with the NO position being backwards of ALL products listed. When this switch is wired the key has to be in the far clockwise position to remain "off" on a normally open contact. That means you have to turn the key counterclockwise to turn on. Trying to return for refund.

For my toro walk behind mower, when you pull the stop nail back the starter engages so you have to turn it off to mow.
