Was really excited to use this kit thinking I could replace my drifting control sticks on my PS5 controller. It comes with some screwdrivers and a pick to take the shell off, but once you actually need to replace the sticks, there's nothing else to help you. You need solder wick or something of the sort to even remove the old solder from the board, which isn't really included. This is kind of a useless kit unless you have the right tools.

i waited until my original ps5 controller got stick drift to use this. i myself took this to a reputable tekkies location and they sued the parts to fix my ps5 controller and it worked perfectly with no issues

The product we received was slightly disappointing, not because of its quality but because my husband attempted to replace them himself and encountered difficulties, ultimately leading to frustration and abandoning the task. It's regrettable because the product itself seems to be of good quality, and it even came with tools to assist with the replacement, which is worth mentioning as a positive aspect.

The part matches correctly to ps5, total of 14 soldering points, desoldering old part was a challenge took 90% of total time, instead of buying new controller give this a try .

Our dogs have no sense of where they step when they hop up on a bed or couch, and our PS5 controllers often pay the price for it. I'm not sure how they do it, but it's like they know the worst possible place on a controller to step and then they put ALL of their large pup weight on that one spot. And that's how our controllers go from devices of entertainment to tools of frustration.Because let me tell you, few things are more frustrating in a game like Baldur's Gate III with its radial menus than trying to choose something as your controller is drifting in a different direction.It's the kind of thing that sends you scrambling to buy a new controller...or to make a repair on your own.Considering this Eaglewireless kit was $12 (at the time of review) this seemed like a worthwhile shot to take before dumping $50-75 on a new controller, and now I'm glad I took the chance.I watched a few YouTube guides before I tried it just to boost my confidence and reassure myself that I wasn't crazy for trying this. As it was my first time messing with a PS5's innards I took my time, but once I'd done one controller, I went hunting for another one we'd stored away that had a similar issue and did that one too. Worth it.***Overall Value***If you're about to pull the trigger on buying a brand new replacement due to analog stick drift, I'd recommend giving a kit like this a shot first.

My husband’s PS5 controller has been drifting to the left for weeks, and after trying all the tips & tricks to help fix this well-known problem, but to no avail, I was stoked to get him this replacement parts & tool kit.The kit came with no instructions, but all pieces were included, and he was easily able to get the controller apart while watching an online how-to video.Once he got to the replacement step, he immediately got bummed after realizing a solder tool is needed, which he doesn’t have.So now, all of those little pieces have just been chilling on our coffee table for days.I will say, working on electronics is definitely not his forte; he has very large hands and works in construction, so I’m not totally convinced he’ll be able to get the controller fixed and back together properly on his own.If you have all of the needed tools, an enjoyment of fixing electronics, along with plenty of patience this kit gets the controller open, and the parts do seem to be legit OEM replacements.Honestly, I see us just purchasing a new controller.
