I love the lapidary crafts. I own a lapidary lap used to polish geode faces and one of the four thumb screws, when trading out a tray, broke off. The thumb screws that came with the lap were 1/4 20 zinc coating thumb screws. After drilling out out the broken thumb screw I determined I needed to buy a 5/16 18 thumb screw and tap out the screw hole to accommodate the 5/16 18 thumb screw. I bought the 5/16 18 stainless steel instead of using the same zinc coated.
