For the price, this little trash can is perfect. I like the rustic look and matches perfectly for my office.

I have to be honest, I didn't watch the videos that were available along with the product pictures, so I wasn't aware that i actually needed to put this together. And putting it together by myself was a bear! It's a little wastebasket, how could it be so hard??? But for me, holding the mesh piece against a solid piece and trying to get the first screw in was hard. And I lost a screw into one of the file folders in my desk drawer since I was using that to balance my pieces on.So I am missing a screw, but for the light stuff that I'll be putting in this wastebasket, I'll be fine. It looks nice in my bedroom and it's a good size, so that's a bonus. Color blends well with my decor. Price is a bit much in my opinion, but there is a 5% off coupon currently, so that is nice.So once it is all put together it functions just fine. You may have a better experience putting it all together than I did (I do have issues with seeing closer up with my glasses on, so have to remove them to try to work with the screws, then put back, etc). All in all, a nice wastebasket, just a bit pricey in my opinion. But it does what it's supposed to do and all is as advertised. So at the end of the day, I'm good with this one.

I wish the panels were a little thicker to take the screws better. Also, predrilling would have prevented five of the 18 screw locations from splitting.Make sure to use the tiny screw driver provided so you cannot over torque the screws and watch them spin. So far, not an issue with "stripping" the holes, time will tell on that one.The handles are a bit rough on the hands due to two plastic pieces making up each handling having a coarse seam. Also, the instructions have a UL logo (Underwriters Laboratories) with the registered trademark, however I could not find the company (Fozxsvg) or the product (retro wastebasket) in their database. I don't expect this to spontaneously combust or anything of that nature, but with that I'm not sure what the MSD is for this product (material safety datasheet). Again, I don't expect to be gnawing on it.For the price ($35.99 when not on sale) and the quality, rating this pretty low. I'd say this should probably be in the $10-15 range.

Used an electric screwdriver; not easy to line up; cracked near the screws; not worth the money; but still usable

This wastebasket is made from a combination of wood & black wire mesh. The two ends & the bottom are a medium dark wood with the two sides a black, horizontal, triangular mesh. The wood ends on the basket are 3/8" thick & 8" wide with the mesh sides measuring 11-7/8" at the top gradually tapering to 9-7/8" at the bottom. The height is 11-3/4" with 4 black self stick 9/16" diameter rubberized discs 1/8" thick, on the bottom to prevent scratching the floor & to keep it from sliding. There are two handles, one on each wooden end, that are 1-1/4" from the top of the basket & 2-3/8" from each side. The oval opening is 3-1/4" L x 1-1/8" H, which is lined with a black plastic 1/2" insert that circles the openings on both the inside & outside of the wooden ends. This insert makes it comfortable to grasp the basket to move or empty with the opening large enough to accommodate even very large hands. The sides have 1/4" horizontal, diamond shaped mesh with a 5/16" metal edge that overlaps the mesh edges to cover & avoid sharp points. The mesh is attached to the edges of the wooden bottom & sides by a total of 18 black, phillips flat head screws, 3 on each side & 3 on each side of the bottom. While the design of this basket is very attractive & will blend well with any decor, due to the mesh sides it isn't practical for use anywhere you might dispose of a liquid or tiny object that could fall through the 1/4" mesh. I use this in my bathroom to blend with my dark wood vanity, however I have opted to line it with plastic grocery bags to avoid things like swabs from falling out. This also simplifies emptying it as I just need to grab the plastic bag & replace it with another clean grocery bag. It would work well in an office where generally only paper is disposed of. The basket comes in pieces but is extremely easy to assemble & takes less than 15 minutes with a phillips screwdriver (not included).
