Used these for cabinet knobs, worked well. I did buy a tiny table vise from Amazon for around 12$ and it worked very well for breaking the screws to size .

These work great. I used them for Cabinet handles where the cabinet drawer thickness varied between Kitchen, Bathroom, etc. Just clip with diaganol pliers and go. No chasing the threads or hassel.
