The Kiwisim is straightforward to use - put the sim in, turn on roaming, and create the apn (Name: Kiwisim APN:linksnet), and once it finds a tower, it connects to the 'strongest' provider. Speeds were comparable to my carrier branded sim cards, and I had somewhat better coverage because it could switch between carriers.

This is a data only card - no calling or texting included. Although you could use a calling or texting app that uses data or Wi-Fi if you wanted to make an actual call. In our area and based off of our devices, this uses the T-Mobile network and the speed is decent. We live in an area with a lot of spots that get a weak signal, so this impacts things a bit. Overall, I think this is a cool option when you need data for a phone, tablet etc. $30 is a little steep in this day and age for 10gb though. You can get unlimited plans for not much more than this. So this is best used as a backup or a temporary thing.

My device hangs on connecting to the network, it successfully connected once then dropped connection and hasn’t connected since.

I have a couple of devices, including a tablet and a translator device, that both use cellular data, and this was a good choice for running them when there is no Wi-Fi. If you travel for business or move around a lot, it can get frustrating when you can't get a Wi-Fi signal, and having a cellular backup is really great, especially when you don't want to use your phone hotspot constantly. The KiwiSim setup wasn't that hard; just ensure you set everything up ahead of time. You don't want to just throw the SIM in a device without setting and activating it. The speed was OK; it's not blazing fast, but it was more than enough for using my AI translator device when not on Wi-Fi. The price point is decent for what you are getting, and I would use this again. One caveat: check your data and the dates, so you know when you are close to your limits.

Not much hassle setting it up, worked with a remote trail cam.

With the ability to use all of the major carriers, the KiwiSIM is a good deal for anyone looking for a data plan for a hotspot or any other IoT device. I used my card with a Mifi 4G Hotspot. It connected to AT&T which is the fastest in my area and gave me good results. If another carrier is faster in your area, it usually defaults to it or you can contact customer support to change it. You get the full 10GBs and maybe 100MB over and are welcome to their customer support, which I did not need. You have 30 days to use it and if you do not it will not roll over. At that point you would need another card or would need to add a plan to your account with them. Overall I liked it, it gave me the same speeds I always get with the hotspot and I had no issues whatsoever. Great plan.

SIM card activation didn't work no matter how many times we read, followed, & retried the activation instructions. Moreover, multiple attempts to contact customer service went unanswered. In short - useless & not worth your money.
