Easy to use. We put on our traffic cones when on the side of the road installing tire chains etc. The blinking lights are visible and for us a better option instead of road flares.

OK. first off all 4 lights in the box worked. They take a couple of AA batteries each and when switched on out of the box they worked.I tried these in the house in the dark and wasn't all that impressed with how bright they were. It was just kind of not quite where I felt it should be.Outside they were fairly easy to see from about 50 to 75 feet away. Not what you would want along a highway if you were using them at night. They may be visible from a good distance away but I wasn't able to test the like that. I just know they were visible from 50 to 75 feet and my impression of them is that at a greater distance I'm not sure how visible they would be.

I have several of the collapsible cones that I use from time to time in my side gig as a pro photographer. The flashing LED's make a big difference in visibility, and when, not if, they break, I notice. These lights seem to be a direct replacement for the LED's that came with the cones. Note: batteries NOT included. You'll need to find two AAA batteries for each, and when I opened up the lights, in two of the lights the springs fell out, and if I didn't have other cone lights, I wouldn't know how to insert the batteries, or where the springs go. The instructions, in four languages, are printed on the box, and they are helpful.I've included photos of the proper location of the springs, and to show two hard-to-see raised indications of + and -, to show you how to insert the batteries. In summary, these do what they are supposed to do and are a direct replacement for the original flashing LED's. Recommended.

My husband does volunteer work that occasionally mandates him to park his vehicle on the shoulder of a busier road and do his communications from there. In these cases, they ask that he set out cones to better warn drivers of the coming obstruction. He has a set of pop-up traffic cones for this, and they are decently reflective, but at night, he still felt that some people weren't taking heed of the workers so close to the traffic. THese lights are a great addition to the setup. After they have had batteries added, they easily get switched on and then sit nicely on the top of each cone to provide a red warning signal to improve the chances that people realize they NEED to move over.

I ordered these flashing lights to use in my collapsible cones that we keep in our vehicles for unexpected roadside emergencies. They fit snugly and need a good push to get them seated in the cones.I like that they take commonly found AAA batteries and that they have an on/off switch, but I was expecting them to be as bright as the blinky lights on the back of my bicycles that can be seen day or night. Unfortunately, during the day the lights on these are not at all visible, they are only useful for nighttime use.Even though the dimensions are listed, they still appear smaller than I expected. They are light too at 0.95-ounces without the batteries. Fortunately, the listing says they are weatherproof. I have not had the opportunity to test them in the rain, but if I come across any ill effects from a rainstorm, I will update this review. At the going price of sixteen-fifty, they’re a bit more than four dollars apiece, which isn’t too bad. I just wish they were brighter.
