INSTALLATION TIPS
The 2x4 rubber end cap is difficult to use in cold conditions. Therefore, they may need to be heated to make them as ductile as possible. Soaking in hot water, sunlight, or on a hair dryer for a period of time usually makes installation easier.

These work as advertised. To get them onto the end of the 2x4, dip them in HOT water for about 60 seconds, dry them off, and put them on. I had the water almost boiling, turned off the heat, dropped in the caps, then carried the pot to where I needed to install them. Pulled them out with tongs, dried them off, had them installed easily in seconds.

The end caps are made of a soft elastic vinyl. These are 'Stretch to Fit'. They are slightly undersize, but fit nicely once you pull them into place.

These are perfect for my use case I absolutely hate the fact this is the only option available as man these things are overpriced which is why I knocked a star off there is no way it cost this much to make they only get away with this price because they are the only ones that make em.

They work, they are flimsy rubber, and a bit smaller than a 2x4, so you have to stretch them on a bit. They are fine, just not super pretty, but they do the job.

Have to stretch them a bit to fit over treated 2x4s but they work as described. They fit perfectly once in place.

The price is a bit ridiculous for what it is, but it’s the only thing I’ve found that will work for what I need. It is a snug fit. I built this outdoor couch with 2x4s and needed something to protect the feet from getting wet and absorbing water. This was just what I needed. I’m sure the wood will shrink over time so they will fit perfectly then. They still work great now, so I’m pleased!
