I am making a storage cabinet. I used these clamps to hold two pieces of wood together in order to allow me to drill pocket holes. The clamps worked fine as the wood pieces did not move when the pocket screws were tightened. That's all I needed them for at this time, but I can see that there will be several other uses for them in my future, especially drawer fronts.

This seems like such a great idea. You can clamp a drawer face on and get it aligned, then remove to drill holes and fasten it. I'm sure I'll be using them. But, they are very poor quality. The screws and threads are very rough, so they do open and clamp smoothly. There is also way too much slop, so the screw does not necessarily stay straight. There's really nothing to make the transition from the screw to the clamp as a bearing surface, so it tends to bind and rotate the pad, which could cause marring. The metal finish is rough and a bit ugly.I'm also not so sure they are that much better than regular clamps. I think they would work much better with inset doors rather than the overlap doors I'm generally working with. You can't close the drawer with this on. It hits the frame. It might have worked to have a step in the back so you could get the drawer closer to closed.

I have a large Christmas Village. Every year I add to it in some way - a new building, some new citizens. But often, it's some do-it-yourself custom made thing that I can't find anywhere; or that I can find, but won't quite fit the decor or the space. This almost always involves hot glue, but also very often regular and wood glue. These clamps are to help me with my projects. They are small enough to keep village-sized pieces secure until the glue sets. They are strong and well made. The screws move easily and the clamps hold tightly. Plus the velvet liners are perfect to protect my delicate pieces.

When I use these drawer clamps they hold the drawer fronts very tightly to the drawer and do not leave any marks on the finish. With the drawer fronts secured I can drill the holes needed to put the drawer front mounting screws in and to mark and install the drawer pulls. These are a great time saver over using shims to get the drawers alignment correct. The other great feature is that since the metal brackets that go over the top of the drawer are so thin I can open and close the drawer to check clearances and spacing before committing to mounting the drawer front to the drawer. This feature has really helped improve the accuracy of the spacing between my drawers and in getting balanced spacing between the cabinet walls. The clamps are all metal and very strong with easy to grasp grips and padding on the mounting foot of the clamp to prevent scratching. It's a simple design but very effective. The clamps came bundled in plastic but somehow they still got all scratched up. Not a big deal since I ordered these clamps not for their appearance but for their functionality which is great.
