I am using these knot mating combs to cut the baling twine open on my hay. It reminds me a lot of an envelope opener. The plastic is cheap and lightweight. There is some grip provided on each side with the black rubberized textured pads. The tip is pointy and easily slides under the twine. They slice easily and I hook them to hang when not in use.

This sounded like a great thing, but it turns out that it's not very good. I have two ragdoll cats that get mats in their fur and I have to regularly groom them. I don't know if it's because the razor is not sharp enough or what, but it hurts them with how hard I have to pull to actually cut the fur. Back to scissors, I guess.

I thought these looked like an easy way to remove matted fur balls from my long haired cat. She’ll get one every once in a while. I’ve tried running it through her fur but it doesn’t cut anything. I’ll see if I can’t use them to cut wrapping paper this Christmas otherwise they’re going in the trash.

As a pet owner, I’m always on the lookout for grooming tools that make the process easier and more comfortable for my cats. This comb works pretty well on regular tangles, gliding through fur with ease and precision. However, when it comes to thick knots, patience is key. You’ll need to work the comb through the knot a little at a time to avoid any discomfort. Thankfully, my cat has been quite patient during this process, but I’d recommend having lots of treats on hand to reward your kitty for their cooperation.

I'm owned by a small dog with very fine, long hair that knots close to the skin if you even look at it wrong. He despises me trying to remove them; combs, brushes, even traditional de-matting tools just tug and pull. I can understand why he gripes; it's uncomfortable. This set of grooming tools comes with 2 that look, to me, like some letter openers: a slim, pointed end slips easily beneath a knot, the protected blade cuts through it. I can then comb the area out. My pup barely notices it during use. They can't be re-sharpened, but I didn't expect them to be -- if these get blunt, they're afforable enough to order more. The set also includes a silicone bath scrubby with an adjustable strap that my hand slips under -- easy to hold, pup also approves of it. They work great, for my/his needs.
