I’ve had a simile type of “oven motor” for years and when a family member asked for some for Christmas these came up. I kept one pair for myself to replace my old ones because these are way better. These cover a better amount on your fingers and hands. They are simple to clean and gives you better control then a traditional oven mit.

These are very useful and efficient. Their advantage over traditional mitts is how easy their to clean and how easy it is to get in and out of them BUT the silicon layer is very thin, thinner than I expected it to be. You can't hold something hot for longer than 5 seconds without them getting unbearably hot and staying that way for a few more seconds. You definitely need to have a second pair on hand for when that happens if you want to move stuff around quickly and not have to wait for the mitts to cool down. The best approach is to not allow them to get hot in the first place. If the silicon had been just a little bit thicker it would've provided so much more insulation but these are cheap for a reason and don't seem to be that different from the other listings here at twice and triple the price.

Regular oven mitts can be bulky and sometimes are overkill for the cooking task at hand. These are perfect for when you just use the tips of your fingers to handle hot food or plates.

These clamshell mits are great. Heat resistant, easy to clean. I like them much better than any cloth hot mits I have.
