I'm new to T-Track so I got the wrong size nuts on the first go round. These are the right size and they're super heavy duty. They hold the clamps solidly while I work. I'm using T-track on the wall of my art studio as an endlessly adjustable easel and workspace. They work great.

I was able to file edges and clean surface rust off. But, this shouldn't be required after receiving a product. All things considered, they are still probably a decent value.

A good t-slot nut will run you a little over $3 at the supply house, so buying these in a set can save you a few bucks. They are sturdy and plenty hard. There are some tool marks and rough edges here and there, so not quite the fit/finish you'd get from the supply house. I found the description to be quite lacking on these, so I'll go ahead and fill in all the blanks. First of all these are "partially threaded", meaning the bolts cannot pass clear through them. There is a slight constriction at the very bottom which stops the bolt from threading all the way through like a regular nut. This is to protect your t-slots so its not a bad thing, but some people may want fully threaded nuts. Second, there are no dimensions given other than the t-slot width and thread size. For some applications you want to know the dimensions. 0.491" is the width where it fits into the 1/2" slot. 0.872" is the overall width at the base. Length is about 0.890". Overall depth is 0.495" with the bottom flange taking up 0.276" of that. After using these to secure a milling vise I think they are totally adequate for most purposes. Not the fanciest stuff available but they are functional and reasonably priced.

I'm the proud owner of an old Rockwell Unidrill with T-slots similar in style to what is normally used on milling machines. Paired with some 3/8-16" allthread and some scrap wood, these should cover most of my clamping needs. As pictured, the wide lower section measures 7/8", and the narrow upper section measures in at 1/2". These are about perfect for my T-slots whose upper section measures in at about 9/16" wide. The threads were all in good shape. The threaded holes are open at the bottom, but bolts do bottom out at the very end of the threaded section. I believe this is an intentional design based on reviews of similar products that I have read, although they could easily be cut all the way through if it's to your liking.

What can one say about a t-nut? It does what nuts do. You put the screw in, and the nut holds it in place. $10 feels a bit pricey for a set of nuts, but, they are t-nuts, and I suppose that makes them worth more. It's probably better to get them in a set with clamps though. I'd imagine you would get more product for the money that way. Enjoy.
