If you've bought one of the 'inexpensive' (cough) Duramax LBZ/LMM cold side pipes (intercooler to bridge), you've probably already found out that they aren't going to fit using a regular coupler. This is the ticket though!It's long enough to bridge the gap, the bulge part compensates for engine movement and the non-alignment issues, and... it makes up for the two different sizes! Makes sure you use a good band clamp similar to the OE style. NO gear type hose clamps! You'll destroy the hose.

Used on a 2002 Chevy tahoe z71. I eliminated the stock intake piping and put a 4 inch diameter tubing straight from the stock airbox to the throttle body. I needed this tubing to connect to the mass airflow sensor to the 4 inch pipe since the MAS diameter is 3 inches. This worked perfect for my set up since I am keeping the stock airbox.
