If the SERV 4WD light with C147B appears, or the front drive shaft does not rotate freely (as normal when in 2High) or hen you meet Difficulty engaging four-wheel drive; Four-wheel drive becomes stuck; Four-wheel drive mode does not activate, you need to replace it in time. After the installation is complete and the command is issued, these actuators will engage and disengage the front or rear differential, restore good 4-wheel drive performance.
A 4x4 actuator is an electronic device used to engage the front differential on a so-equipped, four-wheel drive vehicle. One piece is connected to the carrier, the other connected to the wheel. This reduces drag on the axle by allowing only the spider and side gears to spin, while the differential carrier, pinion and drive shaft are at rest (as is the inner portion of the disconnected long shaft and its associated side gear). Not all types of four-wheel drive vehicles use this type of switch.

I have tried 3 of these actuators. 1st one leaked. Second one was weak and wouldnt move. Now the 3rd has been on for 3 months. It’s leaking at seal. And when it rains. While driving it starts to cause issues. And tries to lock the 4wd while. Driving. Save ur self the hassle. It’s not worth the cost sorry

Bought this 14 months ago and It quit working. found out that it was never sealed so water got into the electrical parts.
