I picked these up along with my new Handy Pak Mini, as a combination of a test run, and because they are a convenient size for general use. I quickly learned two things of note, which is not surprising as this is my first time even seeing an air-pillow machine, much less running one. Of critical note, and I think might be the core of the issue mentioned in another review, is that the direction in the manual of the air pillow machine on setting your air blow level is very critical for these. They have a small volume comparitively, and are sensitive to over-filling. If you have your air-blow level set slightly too high, the air will push too far down the roll of packers, and partially inflate the packer coming off the bottom of the roll. Which will then jam up the machine by not fitting through the film guides. Reduce your air-blow setting slightly (as directed in the manual) and the problem goes away totally. Also, keep a close eye on your sealing heat. A little bit too much will tend to make melted spots in your seal, which makes the packers leak. Again, dialing that in gets everything working perfectly and reliably.The other thing I noted (In this case to my great pleasure) is that these packers are a bit smaller than you'd expect from the 4x8 dimensions given. That is indeed the size of the uninflated film, but when blown to a reasonable level, the dimensions of the inflated packer are approximately 6" x 2.5" x 1.5". This works out absolutely perfectly for me, since I ship a large number of small items in 6x6x2 boxes, and these are absolutely perfectly sized to fill the void spaces using either one or two packers, depending on how many items I'm shipping.This roll will probably last me literally years, making and using only a few per box, but when it's expended, I will most definitely order up another!
