The pincers on bases have heft, and are unlikely to tip over. The hand-held ones hold items with a tight grip.

I purchased these for soldering home made jewelry and they work great! At a much better cost than the jewelry websites.

This is a great set of third hands and tweezers for all your jewelry soldering projects. They have super good grip and easy to store away when not in use. Don’t second guess it ! If you’re thinking about getting this… GO FOR IT !

These seem more like something your grandfather would cobble together than precision tools. They're big, bulky, really rough, and poorly made. Edges aren't rounded or sharpened, they're just squared and dull. The little wooden blocks that are supposed to be handles are about as low effort as possible (no finishing work, just rough cut and dipped in stain) with plenty of splinters and fraying. Two of them have their ends twisted and poorly welded so they can attach to their terrible stands. I don't know what metallic coating is on the outside of the stands (may just be chrome paint, I don't know), but it flakes off freaking everywhere. I bought these for electronic work, it was a big mistake. Will they hold a small light object? Yes. Do I use them even though I'm worried about the huge amount of flaking metallic substance causing shorts in what I'm working on, the tips line up poorly, they're uncomfortable and unwieldy? No, no I do not. Get a decent pair of helping hands or some decent tweezers, avoid this overpriced trash.

All the parts were there, and though they’re not beautiful tools they are perfectly workable. I’ve only put them into light use but if there’s no update then they’re still going strong!
