Slighty plasticky polyester base fabric, smelled like chinese factory fresh out of the bag (not unexpected) The lengths of the tape halves were not quite the same but usuable. Hook and eyes are firmly set into the fabric and sturdy.

Nice degree of quality but the tape has too many layers to achieve that.
