In my past experience the poster tube size advertised is the amount of usable space within the tube. In this case, the full tube length is 18", which means an 18" poster will not fit once the end caps are in. It would be very helpful if the company provided this information on their product detail page. They could simply state that the dimension listed is 18" and the caps are 1/2" each, leaving 17" inches usable space.Aside from that, the quality of the tubes is good and the caps fit tightly, so they would work great for items about 17" or less.

I was disappointed to learn after receiving that the useable length of these tubes is not 18" if you use the caps. The actual length of the tube is 18" but once the caps are inserted the useable length is only about 17". I was stuck with having to ship out orders anyway and put one cap sticking out and had to tape it and hope for the best. This description is misleading.
