I was not prepared for the horrendous fumes this stuff gives off from the flux. I got a big lungful of it and it's actually triggered a mild asthma attack - something that doesn't normally happen to me more than once or twice a year.I also haven't been able to achieve any useful result with it. It does melt readily at a low temperature (accompanied by a lot of popping from the flux) but it seems to just pool on the surface. I tried it first on steel welding coupons and got no adhesion at all. Next I tried a freshly-sanded bit of aluminum. In both cases it popped right off, and the material was easy to crack and crumble with my fingers. The instructions are entirely in Chinese, but even translated they provide no particular help.It should also be noted that the flux can catch fire. I finished one test and it took me a second to realize the stick I was holding was covered in blue flames and was continuing to melt, and dripped hot flux on my fingers.Even without the dripping, you'll want to wear gloves. It's been hours since I used the stuff and I can't get the smell off of my fingers.
