I'm actually blown away by how effectively these turned ski boots that hurt and let my heel wiggle all around into boots I don't have to think twice about on long days out on the slopes. I did have a professional boot fitter apply them, so I can't speak to the expertise required there, but it was simple enough to adhere them to the boot lining, and now I haven't thought about them again all season.

Had to return this item. The pads do not stick to boot. Fall off immediately!Waste of money.

These are good for making liner shape adjustments and fit adjustments on snowboard boots, I assume (but didn't try) probably would be similarly good in ski boots if you have pronounced ankle bones, large feet with small ankles, or otherwise "other-than-common" foot shape or ankle shape, and can't quite get a good fit out of the box with typical boots. They're adhesive on one side to stick to the liner so you can put them into place, easy to cut down if needed, quite handy for reshaping a bit to help boot fit and ankle comfort.

Lots of pads for fixing uncomfortable points in boots or skates. The reason for 3 stars is the adhesive is very weak. We needed the extra stickiness for a snow ski boot liner and they just did not stay on from enough. Guess the sis for skates only.
