This 500 ft of S/S wire cable was used to sturdy-up a dog kennel area that was surrounded with field fence. I ran this cable around the top perimeter and used turnbuckles to tighten it. I then fastened the top of the field fence to the cable which made the fence stand more vertical and gave it tremendous strength. The dog fence will now withstand the rigors of jumping dog paws and the occasional tree limb falling on it. My kennel will last years longer now!

I recently bought this stainless steel cable kit, and overall, it’s a solid product. The cable itself is high quality, marine grade, and the 7x7 strand construction makes it strong and flexible enough for a variety of uses. It comes with a wire cutter that works well with this cable size, which is a nice touch if you don’t already have one.However, I ran into a bit of an issue with the sizing. It was a little bit of a bait-and-switch. I initially ordered this thinking I was getting a 1/8" cable. The product label even said 1/8", but when I measured it, I found out it was actually 3/64". This could be a big problem depending on what you’re planning to use the cable for, especially since certain applications, like railings, often require a minimum of 1/8" to meet building codes.What’s even more concerning is that the product listing suggests it’s suitable for construction and shows a picture of a railing system, which could be misleading. If you don’t realize the size difference, this could lead to some potentially dangerous situations. I’m glad they updated the product information on the site, but I can see how someone could easily overlook this and end up with a cable that doesn’t meet their needs.My advice: make sure you double-check the size and verify it’s suitable for your project before using it, especially if it’s for something critical like a railing system. Also, take the time to check local building codes to ensure this cable meets the required standards for your application.Despite the sizing confusion, the cable itself is solid and work well for other projects I have around the house. The quality is definitely there and if 3/64" is what you need, you’ll be happy with this kit. I’m giving it four stars because the cable performs well, but the size mix-up and potential safety concerns knock off a star for me.

I got this to make a very lightweight security cable for a convention I was exhibiting at that would be heavy enough to keep honest people honest. For a convention of therapists, no one would be carrying wire cutters and this provided enough deterrent to keep my electronics from disappearing.

This is a great buy for 1000 feet of cable. The cutters were great. I’m glad it came with them. Otherwise I would’ve had to go to the store and buy my own.
