The case for the chips is cheap and broken. This was purchased as a gift and I would not give this to anyone. We will be returning this. Do NOT recommend to anyone!

The chips are great compared to a lot of others at similar price points, but the cards are trash just like any other poker set I've come across at this price or less. Like the cards, the case also seems like the bare minimum, it's pretty flimsy and I don't totally trust it.As a few other reviewers have mentioned, the chips come looking dirty and scratched up, but there's a relatively easy, although time consuming fix for this that makes them look great. It seems like they were just never treated or conditioned after they were sanded or smoothed in whatever way. This leaves them looking dusty and rough around the edges, and leaves scratch marks on the face of the chips. To fix this, you'll need to wash them in water and mild detergent, dry them, and then treat them with some kind of plastic protectant. I just used mineral oil (initially intended as a wood cutting board conditioner), but there are lots of other options including Armor All, castor oil, or any product marketed as a plastic protectant. You'll just need to get a terry cloth somewhat saturated with whatever product you choose to use, then use that to rub down each of the pre-cleaned and dried chips, and then a dry microfiber towel to rub off any excess from them. It's tedious, and honestly might take a couple hours to do all 500. They're great in the end, but it's a process. To be frank, the only reason to buy this set is for the chips, and you can buy them in 10 different colors in 25 ct packs on their own for less on other sites. Just search "z striped poker chips" and you'll find them. Total for this many chips is around 60, so maybe it's worth it for the case, cards, dice, and dealer button, but you be the judge.

The chips in this set have a good weight to them, and feel very good to play with. I highly recommend this set if you are looking for a set of chips that will last a long time and impress those you play with.

If you're like me, you might be viewing this product because you want a slightly nicer set of poker chips with a dash of differentiation. These fit that bill perfectly. They arrived quickly, the case was as good (for quality) as one can expect - it holds the chips nicely, is mostly solid, but like any free carry case it's made somewhat "on the cheap".Chips - no complaint. In fact, i really like them. They look awesome, they have a good feel, weight, and sound to them. They feel like a clay chip in the hand. They did not feel plastic-y. They arrived in the colors and quantity expected and without breakage. One poster mentioned little flaws in his chips- a small bump/ tab where the injector molding happened. This was not my experience at all.

This review is showing up under my wife's name as she is the Amazon Prime account holder. Delivery was very fast. I ordered this set on Sunday and received it on Wednesday thru Prime. I choose this particular set because of the design, chip weight (13.5 grams) and because it didn't have any printed values or stickers. I was a bit leary as this was my very first poker chip set I had ever purchased and because of some comments that I had read that mentioned problems with the case being dented or damaged during shipping along with a weak handle and the chips sometime having blemishes or imperfections. I'm happy to report that the case arrived intact and the chips all seemed to be in excellent condition. I've read where you can/should wash the chips with a mild detergent to remove some of the residue left from the manufacturing process. I didn't do this and just removed them from the plastic wrapping (rolls of 50 chips). I'm careful not to use the handle on the case as it is rather heavy when filled with chips and I don't want to take the chance of breaking it. I used them on Saturday and got a lot of positive responses about the chips. I'm not even sure what the dice are for but they seem to be ok. The dealer button is nice to have but we never used it. I replaced the decks of cards with Bicycle brand as most of the comments have mentioned that the ones that come with the set are not worth using. The biggest bonus came when my friend gave me his dad's solid wood folding poker table top that is probably at least 40 - 50 years old. It has the original felt top with felt lined chip compartments and drink holder. They just don't make them like that anymore.
