Our company installed a lamppost 35 years ago with a Don Ell photocell model 757 made in USA. It was still working after 35 years. The owner wanted a new lamppost top. We recommended that we replace the photocell since is was old and we had it apart. We order a this one and it is still made in USA. Forget the Chinese crap. This is made here and the price is right. It also has 9 inch long wires. Some of the others have shorter leads.

It flickers the light bulb in the evening. It burned out numerous small incandescent 25-watt bulbs. Then, I switched to LED and that is ok. It still comes on early before there is NOT a significant drop in light level, but the LED is low watt thus not costing a lot of extra money.

The photocell potion that protrudes through the lamp post is to short. My previous review is more detailed and I am not going through this again.

Worked for 10 years. I replaced with the same sensor and installation was a snap -- just turn off the power from the fuse box and follow the wiring diagram.
