I got this to hold 120 film(medium format) that I shoot and develop at home. I've been buying my negative holders from B&H or Adorama, but for this price, I thought I should give them a try. They look and feel just like the other brand from the big guys, but at less than half the price.

I ordered this pack of 50PCS-YCCLDIPL Archival Storage Sheets for 120 Film negatives as an alternative to the name brand we all know and love.I still do some traditional wet process photography, meaning that I make silver gelatin prints from negatives using an enlarger in a darkroom. Often, I will also make digital prints from the same negatives. My procedure is to develop the film, scan the negatives, then make both a digital and a wet process contact sheet. These negative storage sheets are transparent enough to allow me to make contact sheets without removing the negatives. It is obvious by look and feel that these sheets are not made of the same material as the well-known "archival" negative preservers are. So, I can't really say that these are up to the same archival level. But, now that all my negatives are scanned before storing them, I'm far less concerned about long term storage.

Out of the package, these storage sheets are not as thick as I was expecting. I would classify the polyethylene density as medium quality, though I wish they would have provided a measure to compare against. In essence, they aren't as thick as standard heavy duty sheet protectors, but they aren't as thin as the quality of sheet protector that you would find at a dollar price store. Nevertheless, the quality is good for storing your negatives, and I especially appreciated the multiple hole configuration which allows you to use it with different types of binders, including the standard 3-ring. I also am glad that they included the label strips so that you can provide a description of the negative photos for quick access.

These are amazing. These sheets hold 1 roll per sheet. They are 6 photos by 7 slots. they’re really easy to use and I appreciate the extra length as some of my other binders I had weren’t long enough. If I had one complaint it would be the little paper at the top you use to write the date. I wish the material was white color instead so I could write right on it. Getting the little paper to fit back inside is a bit of a pain. Other than that $22 for a pack of 50 is a great price and I will get these again when I run out.

If you are organizing your old 135 film collection, or you are a newly converted analog film photographer, you will find the YCCLDIPL Archival Storage Sheets for 135 35mm negatives to be a great solution. This set comes with 50 archival pages, each of which holds a full 36 exposure roll of film negatives. As well, YCCLDIPL includes index strips for each page that can be written on to record date and exposure information. The size is perfect for fitting into a regular 3-ring binder, and the company also sells equivalent sheets for 120 roll film. These archival film negative sheets are great, the price is good and I give it high marks!

No need to jam the leader and first frame behind another strip.

I use the brand name sleeves and keep them in a box so they stay dust free. Getting the fresh dried negatives into clean sleeves asap is essential for clean scanning and enlarging. These YCCLDIPL sheets come with dust preinstalled. My phone photo of the dust isn't great, but it should get the idea across. These also come with cardboard inserts for recording info about your roll of film. Another function of negative sheets is to keep the negatives flat. Using the cardboard inserts would make a thick lump at one end of your stack of pages, so the negatives wouldn't sit in a flat pile. Of course you can just write on the sheets with a sharpie. If you need to organize your old box of family negatives these should be fine. If you shoot and develop film it will be worthwhile to stick to the name brand.
