My furnace is old, only has 2 wires. This was one of the only programmable thermostats I could find that works for mine. It seems to be accurate. You can program pretty much anything you might want and if you want to bypass the schedule you just do it manually and then it will go back to the schedule at the next set time. It’s not adaptive like some other brands, which I didn’t like the idea of. It just does what you tell it to. It’s very easy to hook up and looks nice. Definitely worth the price.

So far it is excellent, but i have installed in my garage to keep it above freezing in the winter. Problem is, my old thermostat was set for 4 degrees C, this one wont go below 7 degrees C.

I took pictures of the connections on my 3 year old thermostat. Copied them over directly, c to c, w to w, etc, with the jumper and without, double, triple and quadruple checked my wiring. When "cool" turned on, heat came on. When heat turned on, heat came on, verified with laser thermometer.Replaced with old thermostat and it worked perfectly. I have replaced many thermostats and never had an issue like this. Returned.

I had a hard time finding what I wanted in the big name brands for a reasonable price. Most have a set swing of less than 1 degree, which means the hvac kicks on way too often. I've always been told that the starting is what puts the most wear on hvac equipment. I was skeptical about buying an off brand thermostat but this one had good reviews. It also looks to be made by the same company that makes a brand called Pro1. If you compare the boxes and manuals, they are printed the same, with the exception of the model numbers being slightly different (just a single letter prefix). The manual that came with this thermostat didn't have as much detail as I needed, but I was able to download the Pro1 manuals for the closest model number, and the instructions were spot on for setting up this thermostat. I've had it for almost a year and haven't had any problems. A little learning curve since this is my first programmable thermostat, but not too intimidating!

Works. Too bad Monday thru Friday settings have to be identical. Only Saturday and Sunday can be modified. Has morning and evening schedules.

I used to have an old-fashioned thermostat. Installing this was a great idea. I now know precisely what the temperature is in my home. I don't know if the installation is easy because I had a friend install it, but he said it was a piece of cake.

Nice thermostat for the money. Simple to program and install. Instructions are pretty barebones but enough to get the job done. I did have a bit of a challenge changing it from 24hr time to 12hr and couldn’t find anything in the directions. For anyone trying to figure it out, turn the switch to off, hit MENU, then hold down the TECH button. You can then cycle through the options by hitting NEXT STEP until you find the 12/24hr setting.

Easy to install. I've set it to run at 67 degrees during the day, it is so easy to adjust temp if I'm too hot or cold. This thermostat is worth the money.

1st think I notice out of the box is a good 'feel'. Solid and a bit heavy for what it is. Switches have a nice, solid 'click' to them. 2nd think (and minus2 stars) think I notice is the 'manual' is itty, bitty, teeny, tiny print... Like magnifying glass print, not just reading specs. Truly atrocious. I mean just because you CAN print that small does not mean you SHOULD.There is NO online manual, a common complaint of reviewers. I used my phone to photograph and then expand the tiny instructions.Actual install went OK once I was able to decifer all the tiny print and Chinese - English instructions. NOTE: you will need jewelers mini screwdrivers, needle nose pliers and a spare wire to make a jumper. I good football game in the background on Sunday won't hurt to keep you from swearing a lot.Once up I would say it looks good, it easy to read with 'old guy eyes' (the main reason I bought it), and seems to work fine. Ordering #2 today for my other HVAC unit.
