Great pair of pants, very comfortable, fits true to size. I am a cook and they are great for kitchen use. Highly water resistant, plenty of pockets for knives, meat thermometers, etc. Very comfortable to wear, the waistband is flexible and it keeps your shirt tucked in.

On the 5th anniversary of my first 5.11 EMT pants I wanted to give them an excellent review. I still wear my 5 year old pants a few times a week. I work and volunteer as an EMT and wear these pants for both. After 5 years and regular washings they still look good. No damage or tears, no split seams, everything works as it should, still comfortable and rugged. Work has supplied us BDU style and this hidden zipper junk with worthless pockets but I gladly purchase my own 5.11s and pay out of pocket (no pun intended) and wear the hell out of them. I have destroyed at least 1 of every other brand/style of pants supplied to me for free and the 5.11 have out lasted them all.On the downside, after about a year of washing the water resistance starts dropping. I live in the north and service 2 ski areas. After about 30 seconds of kneeling in snow I feel the wetness coming through and they stay wet to the end of the shift. I don't use knee pads, they are uncomfortable to wear and don't offer that much protection (IMHO).The last note: hey 5.11, how about us short rise guys? The crotch hangs 6 inches below my crotch. Makes it difficult to lift a leg up to that big first step into the ambulance.

Run, don't walk, to buy a pair of these pants! For EMS work, they are perfect! The many features and pockets make these the perfect work pants. I usually take a 38W 34L in pants and these fit perfectly. The flexible waistband helps one to stay comfortable while bending. I wore these for two 12-hours days as an EMT at a Recent Spartan Race, where I was in and out of my UTV, on my knees and standing, lifting stretchers, and never once did "my pants" cross my mind, which tells me that they were doing exactly what they were intended to do. I also ordered the nylon belt intended for use with the pants and it worked perfectly.

Me encanto, solo le pondría cierres a las algunas de las bolsas, de esa forma al tomar ciertas posiciones las cosas no se salen.

Excellent pair of pants! I work in a busy urban 911 system so in just a few weeks these pants have been through the ringer. Not only is comfort unlike any other work pants I've tried, but the mobility is unmatched. I'm convinced I need to be buying jeans with the same gusseted crotch from now if I'm able to find them! Ass to grass squats plus ample pocket / storage space. You can tell that this pair of pants was designed with EMS in mind. Some of the little things I've noticed but appreciated- both sides offer pockets capable of holding trauma shears / hemostats.- internal pockets within the deep pockets to help organize the contents- belt loops with an elastic band for easy use of clips such as clipping on/off rig keys- deep full length back pocket, just outside of which there is a convenient radio strap to clip to- water resistant (took vomit like a champ! Just beaded up without soaking in and was able to wipe it up with cleaning wipes)-durable and we'll made material - no rips or tears even in very demanding positionsIf you're on the fence about buying, just do it. You won't regret it. I will no longer be using the s$%!y EMS pants provided by my company. I can't believe how many years I operated without these pants as I can't fathom going back at this point.

Just about the only pants I want to wear. These pants are a godsend. The wear and wash like iron with little to no fading even after a year of daily wear. Got them after seeing my daughter-in-law wearing them at work (she's an EMT) though I'm just a civilian. Admittedly I haven't used every pocket but the cargo ones have internal dividers that keep the contents in place even if you're rolling around on the floor with a grandkid or two. And the look great even on flabby old body.I was concerned about the high level of polyester in the fabric but it's a very high quality of twill, feel great, and breathe well even on warm days. They do weigh a bit and can be hot on a really hot day but it's a worthwhile compromise.BTW these go on sale on the 5.11 website once a year or so. I buy a lot of extra pairs whenever they are on sale as I've learned to stock up on a good product in case it goes away. But even at full price they're a bargain given the comfort, utility, good looks, and durability.g
