These are nice carriage bolts that are exactly the size stated. According to my calipers they are exactly 5/16" x 3-1/2". I've found that other bolts are sometimes squeezed down in size by a few 64ths of an inch, saving the manufacture a little over thousands of units. I got ones a little longer than I normally need, knowing that I can cut them off to a shorter length if needed. So I'm pleased with these.

I live on 15 acres and am always doing some fence repairs or something else that needs attentions. This is a nice 50 pack kit with washers and screws to keep on hand in my shop. Nice galvanized finish too.

Purpose for Product: Securing the wooden framework for a garden workbench.Product Inspection: Heavy duty plastic bag containing fifty 5/16" x 3.5" bolts. Packaging label list the industry standard logos, ASME B18.5, ASTM A307, ASME B18.2.2, ASTM A563, ASME B18.21.1 and ASTM F2329. The washers appear uniformly manufactured with that typical hot dipped galvanizing look. Placed one in a vise, bent it 90 degrees until it broke at 25 bends, tough little washer. The nuts are well machined with that hot dipped galvanized appearance. The bolts threads are even and clean with obvious galvanizing. Placed one bolt in a vise bending it 180 degrees 2.5 times before it broke.Summary: Well manufactured bolt set at a very reasonable price.

Excellent Quality w a very good price. As I’ve stated in other reviews, these bulk hardware purchases are made with value and quality in mind. I have a number of ongoing projects that involve repairs needed on existing conditions expected in an older home situation. Things wear out and need replacement or repair… like gates on fences, where these bolts and nuts will enable the strengthening of posts and boards connected to posts and the gated themselves… So this bulk hardware is ready for me to draw on when I need it. I do t need to make a trip to the hardware store. I just go to my hardware shelved and get what’s needed. These bolts and nuts work well and are well made and at a very good price. VeryGood

A nice set of 50 hot dipped galvanized carriage bolts complete with nuts and flat washers. A good idea to include all 3 to avoid having to order each piece separately. The bolts are threaded cleanly and the nuts fit with a bit more play compared to some standard zinc 5/16 bolts I have. I doubt this will affect their use on any projects I will use them on.$26 is a fair price for this complete set.
