Impressive tiny blind nut fasteners. Sturdy and pretty much holds a lot of weight. It's an all purpose nuts that can be used for wood, metals and any materials you can't reach behind using bolts.Good value , easy to install, doesn't need special tools and handy to have around, especially for the DIYers.

These thing suck! Will not stay in place when using the tool. Keeps spinning and after a couple, I just angle grind them off. Did not work for me.

Reviewing the Awclub 5/16-18 Multi-Grip Rivet Nuts, 12pcs Pre-Bulbed ShankI appreciate Awclub providing full specs on these plusnuts, it makes life much easier.The threads are clean and they deform well.A few general notes:Plusnuts have a higher pull-out resistance than regular rivnuts, but significantly less spinout resistance, especially on thin sheet metal.This can be largely alleviated by using a toothed washer under the head.Installation is much easier with an extra long mandrel, unfortunately those are difficult to find.Astro-pneumatic is one source, but only as the entire tool kit.The extra pullout strength is probably most valuable in soft materials, such as plastics.In sheet metal work regular rivnuts are generally more practical as they are less fussy to install and tooling is widely available.Running a thread chaser or tap through the nut after installation can help prevent unwelcome surprises from seized fasteners.

As long as you get thick enough material this will add a threaded hole to many material types.The tabs expand smoothly, and stay aligned with the entrance hole since this is pulled by a rivet gun.This is meant to be installed with a rivet gun, there is nothing to prevent the rivet from turning if you try to install with a bolt. I don't have a rivet gun, so I use a bolt, washer and a nut, this makes it easier to control the rotation, there is not a lot of force involved so this is easily doable without a rivet gun.

These are great pieces of kit. Messing with plastic clips is a miserable task. I recently purchased a pneumatic rivet gun for these type of nuts. I am riveting everything I can get in front of me. My car probably weighs a ton more than it did before I knew these were a thing.All kidding aside, these rivets work great. With the gun, these are as easy as can be. The great thing is that going forward, I won't have to mess with the clips. I keep a bunch of spares around, but I always seem to be out of that one odd size I need. Blasting everything apart with a 1/4" impact is so much easier for me. A preference, really. These ones are best for either thicker material or layered material that ends up being thick. They work equally well in aluminum or steel.Realistically, going nuts on my car probably added ~1 or 2 lbs. But the tighter grip, eliminating shaking panels, is well worth it. I understand that if there is a wreck, panels may be more likely break since the clips can't break first. I don't care. I want snug and I want easy. These helped get me there!

What is in the bag: twenty-four (24) 1/4-20 zinc-plated carbon steel multi-grip pre-bulbed shank flat head rivet nuts.First impressions: Overall good quality and quantity. The rivet nuts are made of good-quality carbon steel with a zinc-plated anti-corrosion coating. The threads are clean of defects. They are easy to use and crimp firmly and securely due to the “pre-bulbed” section in the shank that aids in compressing the rivet shank evenly. They are handy for a lot of applications outdoors and indoors where anti-corrosion is considering factors. They are indispensable around my Shop and are used in a variety of blind-hole applications where a “removable rivet” is needed.I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. Only time will tell if this product has longevity and durability similar to other competitive products on the market. Therefore, I will monitor this product over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very satisfied with the product, they are well-made, have secure compressibility, and are corrosion-resistant. Worked perfectly to fix my hood bumber mount. Added a lock washer under the head because the original metal is very thin, and to help stop the insert from spinning. Used the bolt and but method to tighten it down.
