I use it to connect my thunderbolt NVME enclosure to my macbook pro 14, and it runs as fast as expected for a PCIe gen 4 drive.

This is the perfect short cable when you need something to sit close to your device. I tested it on a Thunderbolt 4 NVME SSD drive enclosure and received high transfer speeds in line with Thunderbolt 4 specs. The cable appears to be well built, has a nice texture, and inserts firmly and securely into my Apple Mac Mini. The cable is priced well and represents a good value. I would recommend it to my friends.

This short Thunderbolt 4 cable is a great option for those who need high-speed performance in a compact size. Despite its small 5.2-inch length, it supports up to 40Gbps data transfer and 240W power delivery, making it ideal for connecting docking stations, SSDs, and eGPUs. The build quality feels solid, and the red color adds a stylish touch to any setup.Whether you're using it with a MacBook Pro, Surface Pro, or other Thunderbolt 3/4 devices, it delivers reliable performance with no noticeable lag or interruptions. The short length is perfect for reducing clutter in tight spaces, keeping your workstation neat and organized. A great choice for those who need a powerful, space-saving connection solution.

These cables have been a great addition to my workflow. I was a bit skeptical about the short length, but it's actually been really convenient for keeping my desk organized and reducing clutter. The speed and reliability have been top-notch, with no issues transferring large files or using external devices. The fact that they can handle up to 240W of power is also a big plus, making them super versatile.

This flat cable is made of a 4-layer flexible PCB material. The outer layers are signal/power while the internal ones are used for GND. This is a good choice for the ultra fast 40Gbps signals the emarker says it can carry. Of course, there's no guarantee without certification, but this cable doesn't claim to be certified.Like 40Gbps cables should, it includes the Thunderbolt identifier and should work with Thunderbolt 3/4 devices. It will also function properly as a video cable (carries DisplayPort Alt Mode data).Cable Vbus+GND resistance is measured to be about 80mΩ - plenty of margin left from the 150mΩ specification limit for 5A (240W) cables!

I am a bit confused by the product's functioning issues. After all, a cable is just a cable, right? It looks gorgeous and very well-made for sure! When I first tried it with an external SSD drive (in an Acasis case), it would not go above 450 Mbytes/sec - write or read (using a test program on a Macbook). So, I unplugged the cable and then plugged it back in - this time, it wrote at 2550 Mbytes/sec and read at 2470 Mbytes/sec. That is pretty much exactly what another Thunderbolt 4 cable (the one that came with the case) achieved! So, I thought all good now! With just a one-time initial slow weirdness that I cannot explain. Then I tried this cable with my Samsung Galaxy Ultra 24 cellphone (not Thunderbolt - but it is a USB C socket) to transfer pictures to my Macbook laptop (using the Android File Transfer application). No luck at all! I get an error message *every* time! The app popup recommends trying to unplug and plug the phone back in, and I tried that many times (both ends of the cable). Nope, it still did not work after multiple attempts and I finally gave up!When I put the older Thunderbolt 4 case cable into the phone, I have no problems whatsoever! The Android File Transfer app works normally and I copied the pictures I needed. So, I am using this Rerwelin cable only with my external SSD drive now (and it seems to be okay!) and the older Thunderbolt 4 cable with my phone.EDIT: And, of course, now that I try this again with my phone, it is working! So, I am upping my review by one star.
