Terrible. They seem nice, but they are not soundproof whatsoever. It’s like they’re not even there. Purely there just for looks. They don’t even muffle your voice, or anything. I literally like they’re not even there.

Application: home music studio and vocal boothI've been putting off ordering any of the inexpensive sound treatment options on offer across the internet, mainly because the reviews are all over the place. Some people say they work well, while others report that just about all of them are so awful that they could rightfully be viewed as scams.I thoroughly researched making my own DIY sound treatments, but given the price of materials in this current market even modest designs actually cost more than any of these cheapo options on Amazon. So, I bought one 54 pack of these 1" x 12" x 12" panels just to find out if they were at least minimally usable. They didn't cost much, so I figured it was no big risk.I'm happy to report that I did not experience any problems with product quality or function. Upon opening the vacuum pack, nearly all of the panels reinflated to full functionality in about 20 minutes all by themselves. A handful of them required that I follow the INSTRUCTIONS to restore their original, usable shape. The INSTRUCTIONS indicate that the preferred method of restoring the usable shape of the panels is to briefly submerge them in water, then wring the excess, then throw in the dryer for 20 minutes. Worked like a charm. Some of them required a second go around in the dryer, but no big deal. Many reviewers report that some of their panels appeared crushed and paper-thin and would not reinflate to their proper dimensions. The panels are, indeed, vacuum packed. The pack is as hard as a piece of wood and the panels are all squashed to paper-thin sheets for storage and shipment. I had no problem whatsoever with getting them to fluff back up to their intended shape by following the INSTRUCTIONS. All of my panels were true to the claimed 1" x 12" x 12" dimensions. The included adhesive dots worked well to hold the panels to the walls and even ceiling of my studio. The dots are thick and gummy and very tacky. I found that I had to press hard to get them to adhere to the foam of the panels, but the panels seem to be rock-solid once installed.I purchased five more 54 packs and the whole project has worked out just fine. All-in-all, less than 40% of the panels I received required the full submerge-wring-dry procedure, so I think that's acceptable.

They do a great job of deadening a room, great price for these among others at a fraction the cost. Just as good as the higher priced foam panels... they all come from the same source anyway.Bought 2 packs and all 104 were perfect, no damage at all. NOTE these are not for soundproofing, all foam panels are not for that purpose, they are for removing the reverberations and breakup the soundwaves, they do a great job at that

I have a personal mini server on my desktop and it can get noisy at times for the bedroom next door, so I placed these soundproofing panels on the wall behind them to reduce the noise. Now I don't hear them through the walls at all in the other room. The adhesives that are provided are sticky enough to keep them staying on the wall but not sticky enough to peel the wall paint when you want to remove them.

It was part of my set up for the noise reduction from my work room. I applied them onto my door and also I used a band to fill in the space around the door. My son, whose room is next to mine, said there much less noise coming from my room including the sound from the remote meetings or playing music instruments on a low volume. He noticed a tremendous difference before and after. We used those panels to isolate his room too.Few things to know: the panels have a strong unpleasant smell after unpacking which stays for about 2 days. I would recommend to unpack and let them free somewhere in the garage or non-living space. As I didn't fo it, I used a smell removing bio spray which is intended to remove the smell from cats litter or so, and it worked well. Also, the included stickers may not work so some panels may unglue on a next day but all you need to do is to press them again and then they stay. I think it's relayed to the form adjustment if you apply them relatively early after unpacking.

It is hard to mount. Self adhesive ones are easier to mount. However if they were self adhesive I would have used them. They are thick and look fine.

I got these to put on the ceiling in my basement office to reduce the noise from upstairs. They come packaged tightly together but after taking them out of the vacuum sealed bag, they puffed up quickly and had a good shape to them (not crazy deformed from being packed so tightly). The adhesive does not feel overly sticky, but so far they have held up, even on the ceiling. I figure if they start to peel off, it won't be hard to tack them up with small nails, so I am not too worried about it. I understand that most people use these for the walls, so I can't really speak for that purpose, but they look nice and I am hoping that as I get more, I will really notice a difference in the noise level from above my room.
